Did you remove the ability to update weather data in background when a connection is present? It worked in 1.11 as I recall, but definitely not in 1.12. Perhaps this was a change you made to temporarily get rid of the 'internet slow down' bug present in 1.11?

this has been fixed in the final 1.12
it should be ready tomorrow if all goes as planned...
I have enough from Destinator and I started building the new setup package today and sent out for the latest translations last night...
