I hope david will include this feature, maybe configuring multiple roots (eg DVD-ROM, HDD1, USB ecc)
EDITT
by the way you could map your USB device partition under a NTFS folder using disk administrator, I never did it but I know it is possible
I have my C drive and also a usb drive and would like to include music from each in the library. It appears that only one drive can be accepted for the path. How can I include both drives in the library?
thanks

could someone walk me through the above mentioned process?
Well I use xp in italian, by the way the function should be under Administrative Tools, computer management, disk management (I guess).
here you see a list of all the disks (removable or not). plug your usb storage and under disk management you'll find it, right mouse click on the disk and select "remove/add drive letter" or somthing like this; here you'll find "map under NTFS folder". simply create a new folder and the drive into it, it should work. remember that my indication may be wrong, i don't use windows in english
hope it helps

Trouble with that is, you may have to do that each time you insert the USB stick.
That's what seemed to happen when I just tried it.
not for me

I tried those steps and it would not let me check the ntfs file option. sounds like a solution though. any ideas?
just figured it out-need to hit "add" in the screen prior to the assignment screen
you can choose ntfs folder only if the partition is not write protected, e.g. a CD cannot be mounted on a ntfs folder, but my usb stick works
