David,
I changed my country formats under control panel -> regional settings from english(united kingdom) to english (united states) and now both the date and time display correctly.
Did some more testing, video will not work on my carputer (works fine on my laptop, 1 display solution).
When i startup up video there is no video in the thumbnail, just the standard "speaker" picture. The sound is there so the video is playing.
If i setup with a 2 display solution, video will play on display2, but not full-screen.

David,

ok, did some more research into this time date problem. What i have found is:
US locale settings Date:- m/d/yyyy (8 characters)
UK locale settings Date:- dd/mm/yyyy (10 characters)
US locale settings Time:- h:mm:ss
UK locale settings Time:- HH:mm:ss (we display 24 hour clock)
hope this info helps
Edit: if i edit my uk locale to match the us locale, it does not work. Only if i select the us locale.
i had this same error with map monkey.. i found the solution..Originally Posted by Jokester
the window name for map monkey is to be
destinator 3 - [gps]
but... when it loads the first name that comes up is destinator 3 and then about 2 secs later the - [gps] bit comes up.. thats why centafuse doesnt regester the window as map monkey
what i did with this is use the frodo player map monkey launcher..
this is my mml.conf file
DESTGPS
mapmonkey.exe
0,1755,12720,5445
and this is what i have in my external.xml file
<PATH>C:\DestinatorApps\Map Monkey\MapMonkeyLauncher.exe</PATH>
<WINDOWNAME>DESTGPS</WINDOWNAME>
<DISPLAYNAME>GPS</DISPLAYNAME>
<PAUSEMUSIC>False</PAUSEMUSIC>
<LINECONTROL>NONE</LINECONTROL>
<STARTFULLSCREEN>true</STARTFULLSCREEN>
now the window name is allways DESTGPS and its been working fine sice
You could just replace intro.wav with a silent wave file to get rid of the startup sound.Originally Posted by Jokester
The visualization is activated by clicking on the album picture. It will cycle through two visualizations and back to album art.
guys thanks for all the help but that didn't work...
djmickyg: if I run the mapmonkeylauncher.exe and configure it like you said it opens mapmonkey in a seperate window for some strange reason. embeds the mapmonkeylauncher without a problem but not the actual mapmonkey.exe.
Mbai2: This is what I was talking about... doesn't seem to do this on our release.

Thanks
Mbai2 is right. clicking on the thumbnail will change the visualisations. It doesn't work if you have 'always on top' set to yes in the settings screen thoughOriginally Posted by Jokester
I believe Jokester is referring to not the visualization itself, but the song/album overlay that appears in the lower-left corner of the vis screen. I've yet to see it either and was wondering where it was. It might be due to the next-song bug (though it also doesn't work if you Alt-Shift-RArrow to skip a song while the vis is up).
To confirm what we are talking about here, it is the track information in the bottom left corner of the vis. It is obviously a bug for some users then as i have it on mine. I will post a screen shot asap.
I get the track info on my in-house system running a Matrox Triple-head Parhelia card. I do -not- see it using the embedded video (Intel I think) on my CarPC.
