that is very weird... Are you using an LCD? are you hibernating in radio mode?Originally Posted by SOS

I moved the CD button to the main media screen underneath the visualization... It seemed to make more sense to me there... I think it works better being a seperate mode you switch too and not part of the media manager... I also added eject...Originally Posted by dragonBTV

david,
CF 1.2 played all my media with no problems. Ever since 1.3 some of my files (all AAC I believe) don't play at all. I hit load, and then CF does nothing. I've tried to click play, but there is no response from CF.
I have the 3ivx decoder installed.
As I said, they played fine in 1.2, so I know my codec is working properly.
I've uploaded an example of one of the files that won't play to my webspace, here:
www.remarkable.ca/example.zip
(it's a high quality file, sorry bout the 11mb size)
Thanks
Mark

I strongly disagree with this.Originally Posted by veetid
I have two outputs, front drives my full range speakers (front and back) and the sub output drives my woofer.
I normally have my sub output at full, and my front output down a bit as my amp for the front is a bit louder.
If CF automatically raised these levels it would totally screw up my settings.
Thanks

You can't add audio extensions to the config and have them work like before... This was a simple problem of me forgetting to add m4a, from inside the code... I have fixed this and the file you sent plays fine...Originally Posted by babazoid
note: you don't need any codecs installed anymore... I have support for playing AAC files built directly into CENTRAFUSE.. you don't need codecs for any of the formats I play anymore.... I don't use them, I use my own anyway...
note: If you want to get them playing now you can simply rename your .m4a files to .mp4 and they will play...

David,
So is OGG supported natively now? Or do I still need codec for that? I might just uninstall it if not needed!

ok, i must have missed that if you've already been over it... sorry.Originally Posted by veetid
unfortunately i cannot rename that many files, i mirror my library from my home system and it would cause chaos! guess i'll just wait for the next release.
i am also having problems with CF not reading some ID3 tags properly. i can't quite figure out which or why... could this be related to the file extension? i have three albums by the artist i sent you, and the artist "robert randolph" doesn't show up in the listing at all.
CF seems to have read in all of the files (i added m4a before knowing it wouldn't play them) but they just don't show up. it's strange.
thanks again

David, have you ever considered starting a wiki for documenting things in CF?
Since you don't have too much time it might be great for you because then users could help compile documentation, and known bugs, etc.
Far easier to search than message boards.

yes, I notice the most effisency buttons, good!Originally Posted by veetid
but by leaving CD selection in the media manager could have the advantage of creating playlist mixted with CD tracks or queue...
1) Rebuild your library
2) Edit the TITLE id3 tag of any given MP3
3) Update library by doing 'Add Music', and selecting the folder where the updated MP3 resides.
4) 1 Song is 'added'
5) PROBLEM: Now the CF database has 2 entries for the updated file. (treats it as 2 separate files, only one is valid and playable)
