Wow,... the hibernation and music stuttering problem is very REAL. I hope this gets fixed, because as-is, it can really drive you INSANE!!!![]()
I think this would be great. A few times when skipping a song I've had to skip it multiple times since it keeps coming up as the next song in the que.Originally Posted by kbreeden

FWIW, it occurs on my Biostar M7NCG400 motherboard... don't really have an EPIA but hopefully someone else can verify? I know of at least one other poster here having the same issue, reported a few days back.

I can verify this. I am getting stuttering problems. About every 10 minutes i'll get a 1-2second pause in th emusic and then it will start right back up.
Hibernation issues? the only hibernation issues i'm experiencing have to do with GPS, specifically iguidance and my bu303 starting back properly after resuming from hibernation.
My exact setup can be found here: http://www.maximapc.com/info.php

although i only tried once, i didnt get stuttering. keep in mind this is on a pretty beefy system (2GHZ, 512MB RAM, 128MB Radeon 9200).
really, im not suprised thats the case. cuz when you reload from hibernation, the computer will take some cpu cycles getting everything situated again such as the page file and whatnot. slower systems such as your epia's will fall victim to stuttering as youve mentioned.

Vchat, while that could be true; these issue did not occur with previous versions of Centrafuse.

most likely due to the new audio system david is using. last i checked, he is no longer using the windows media com objects like he was in CF 1.2 and earlier.

That's what I was thinking too; i figured with this code rehaul that he re-coded how he handled media functions.
I had been wanting to upgrade to a faster system, i'm just concerned that he has no problems and i'm running about the exact same specs as he is.
Only time will tell.

only thing i can suggest to either regular users or david is to run CF at an elevated cpu priority (above normal is probably the best. any higher and CF will probably become unresponsive). this way it has higer priority over everything else that is currently running and it SHOULD eliminate the stuttering.
edit: btw, f you dont know how to do this, just open task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL or taskmgr in the run applet), find Centrafuse on the processes tab, right click it, go to "Set Priority", and click AboveNormal.
