I've been watching this thread too, as I have the sticking volume buttons as well.. I'm experiencing it on both my laptop as well as my EPIA-M, which is a fresh, virgin install of XP (SP2), MP11 & CF (oh, and TS/mobo drivers).
David, if it helps to actually have the hardware in your hand to replicate the issue, PM or email me - we can work something out (it'd be worth it to me and the others, and I can sacrifice the system for a week or two).
On a side-note, when I select the XM button, it appears to push the MIC input all the way up. I can hit the Menu button, go to Levels and take it back down, but if I re-initiate XM, MIC is at 100% again.![]()

I do have the MIC selected and enabled. I get sound from the XMD, but it's blaring until I can get to the controls to turn it down. Oddly enough, I'm experiencing this on both implementations of CF. If the issue is just me, then I'm obviously not doing something right, but I was pretty careful about setting everything up. Heck, worst-case scenario, I can pad the inputs with resistors and just let it roll. The only issue I have with this is the potential distortion I'll get from running it at full-tilt.
In any case, thanks for everything - David and everyone else. Kudos to a very supportive developer and forum!

I set the level when you enter radio or XM, I thought I set it closer to 80%, but I will check.. Maybe I shouldn't adjust the level at all and all the user to adust it themselves...
I will look into it, but it didn't seem to cause any distortion on my test machines...

I am having the same thing happen to my system when I listen to XM. Mine is set to the Line In and it goes full tilt also. Turn it down and when you leave the XM and return full blast again.
