I've gone back to the original visuals... I will have a new release within days... Users might have to do another install because I had to redo a few things relating to the updater, but hopefully I got them all and we will have another updater test later this week...
after this upcoming release, which again will get all known issues fixed, I will focus on finally putting some time towards those XM issues...

I checked for updates today, and it says it found one. Although I am already at 0.97.0.2.

As VMS and I have found, it's not the visuals causing this error.
I just got it again after only a few minutes, wasn't even on the media screen, just in the main menu with mp3 playing (auto start is on).
I'd figure it has something to do with the mp3 routines or the ID3 tags?
I'll try to pin down if it's certain mp3s that cause this, but I haven't found any... the suspicious ones played fine the next time around (while last time they hung in the middle of the song).
Bug could also be in either preloading the next song or maybe the crossfader? Or maybe unloading the played mp3...
(just thinking out loud as a fellow professional programmer (albeit in PHP, but I've got my Bachelor in CS))
(and I still hope you'll be able to take a look at (or at least acknowledge) the CAM plugin's low resolution problem, though I understand there are more pressing issues)

I know about the res issue, I plan to look into it...
I really want to track down this bug... Can you reproduce the bug if you don't load music at all, turn off auto start music and just stay on the media screen and mess with the volume buttons? VMS though it might be something related to those...
I have ruled out the visuals, all plugins, navigation, phone, and my library...
So it's either the volume or something in the media section...
damn I wish it would give a real error message or write to the log, never even seen this error before programming and been doing it awhile...
note: but if it happens while you are just sitting there without messing with the volume, then that somewhat rules that out... or were you messing with volume when it happens ever?

The other weird thing is why has it only happened to 3 people so far, or reported by 3 people...
Wonder if it's a settings... Will you email your config.xml and settings.xml to support?

I've lost track of WHAT error you're all talking about (seen by 3 people). Can someone briefly explain so everyone else can determine if being affected by it too, and help reproduce?

Reproducing is difficult, the most precise description I can come up with is this:
while playing an mp3 (on any screen and without user interaction) Centrafuse (or .net actually) will throw a 'Failed to load resources from resource file Please check your Setup' error and leave no trace in the error log.
Erm, not strictly true: it does put a

at centrafuse.main.loadVisuals()

in the error.log, but it's not related to the error it seems, as CF will happily play up to half an hour (though sometimes only a few minutes) before giving the error.
Does seem strange that it puts this message in the error.log, as I haven't been in the Media section in this session... just loaded CF and left it on the main screen (it's on autostart at the moment).
I'm trying my best to come up with a way to reproduce/pinpoint it.
