Nope, no interaction from my side what so ever.
Strange thing: when it crashes is does know what song it was playing, as the song restarts when I load CF again. Well, that's not strange of course, the strange part is that it then flawlessly plays this song and continues to the next and next and next... and then crash some time later, usually somewhere in the middle of the song by the way, can't be any file loading issue then I'd think.
CarPC: "Carma" (Car Audio & Route Management) (about 70% ready)
    P4 1.8GHz / 512MB / 4GB CF
    Asus TVFM + B/W camera
    15" touchscreen 1024x768
    BU303
    2x 100Ah
    reinstalling

And all this in a Dutch 1972 CitroŽn HY van called "MurpHY".

Erm, not strictly true: it does put a

in the error.log, but it's not related to the error it seems, as CF will happily play up to half an hour (though sometimes only a few minutes) before giving the error.
Does seem strange that it puts this message in the error.log, as I haven't been in the Media section in this session... just loaded CF and left it on the main screen (it's on autostart at the moment).
I'm trying my best to come up with a way to reproduce/pinpoint it.
(though it's bedtime for me now, it's 1:00 AM here )

I'm pretty positive it's related to the visuals, especially after seeing your error.log... If the music is playing, the visuals are loaded in memory and ready to render if you to the media screen...

I known where to start looking now... great job!

Well, I think its map specific bug since I haven't seen anybody else having this problem, except the ones using Iberia 2006 Map (Spain).
The problem its street list sorting. The streets are sorting first by type, so before you type the name, you have to type the "street" "avenue" ,etc and then its name to see it listed, wich its very very annoying.
Using the own Destinator menus, the sorting its ok, "Streetname, Type"
This doesn't happen in RC2, only in RC3 and RC3.1
Also having RC3 and inet connection, didn't found any update (registered version)

Please fix this, its very annoying, really!

Same problem here, with french 2006.1 maps. Maybe street naming in our language is the "type name" way and english way is "name type".
Anyway, maybe it could be a selectable option in the navigation section ?
Better : include a text search option so that it narrows down the possible street names as we type...
Garonav does that, and it's a pretty cool feature.
    thanks

CF RC3 and 3.1 and Greek city names

Regarding the Greek 2006 maps, I see that CF (both RC3 and 3.1) doesn't recognize the greek unicode characters only for cities in the city listing when attempting to enter a new address (it does recognize street names though - one level deeper - as well as everything else written in greek).

For city names it displays mainly squares and other strange characters instead.

Additionally, POI categorization is messed up, i.e. it displays gas stations under Banks etc. whereas on the PocketPC it is ok - but let's say that this problem comes second..

Is this something that can be sorted out? Especially the character set in the city listing?

I am really looking forward to a solution since I consider CF the most complete frontend. Ask me to attach whatever debugging file you think can help you find out the cause

    Thanks,

    Harry

    EDIT: Attaching images

Image 1 shows how city names look, whereas street names (images 2 and 3)look normal.

    David,

If you are not able to reproduce this yet, it might be because the default skin for web plugin does NOT cover the bottom bar where the random button is located. My skin does cover that area with fullscreen web vieweing, so apparently that is what causes the random button not to refresh correctly....

    1) Click Random button, so it hilites.
    2) Switch to web browser screen.
    3) Come back to Media player. Random button is not hilited. (although Random is still enabled).

I will look into it, but we are not working on supporting Greek on our first initial release, but will shortly after...

i have spoken with Destinator and everything can be worked out, just not enough time in the day!!
