Well me GPS still does not work...
I use Franson GPS gate, and have it set to com port 14
I use this peogram because i use several programs with my GPS-unit.
It works fine with all other programs...
Could you test this?

Did you use gpsgate 2.0 or 1.10?

You might also see if you can push that COM port number down below 10. Windows' _internal_ support can be pretty flaky about dealing with "high" numbered COM ports.
Head for:
- Control Panel
- System
- Hardware
- Device Manager
- Ports
- {your port driver} double click
- Port Settings
- Advanceed
- COM Port Number
