Centrafuse 1.1 Bugs

How do i disable the warnings? At the moment i changed the centrafuse startup file (exe file, not the shortcut on my desktop/startup folder) to:

"centrafuse -nolimit -nowarning"

Unfortunatly the warning still pops up. I do not use shell mode. Where do i put this line?

sorry, I see your post... That is coming back from a Win32 class and saying it could not create the handle.

Yeup, I know... but CF _does_ open the port, I know this from the monitor program. It hooks into Windows in front of the serial driver to it can log all I/O. It shows a nice clear indicator that CF owns COM port 1.

"Port opened by Centrafuse.exe, PID = 1568"

hopefully after my first updater test we can track down the remaining few XM issues...

You're trying too hard.

You actually _DO_ need to modify the shortcut that CF is being launched from, or if you're not using a shortcut, you need to create one.

So...

Create a shortcut to CF
Right click, Properties
At the end of the "Target" field, add " -nolimit -nowarning" (make sure you have the leading space)
Click OK
Drop the shortcut into your STARTUP folder
You should be set to go

I have sorted the video issue.
The other issues dont seem to be in the error log but here it is anyway

Also, noticed 2 other things that I think should be looked at.

* When you load CF as shell it doesn't detect the bluetooth USB device and phone doesn't work in shell mode. Exit out and wait for explorer to load and then load CF again and it works. I wanted to add that I'm using a dongle with SiW drivers instead of the Widcomm/Broadcomm drivers but I'm not sure if that's the problem.

Try to disable Speech to Text in the phone settings and see if your SMS dialog closing issue goes away..

The reason it takes longer is because it's loading PhoneControl into the system tray...

Will need to check on http://www.phoco.net about why PhoneControl will not work in shell mode... I will also ask Zorro...

Still can't see the the city names in Greek while in navigation mode. Will this be fixed any time soon?

wasn't in my release notes, still working on Destinator fixing this issue... It's on their end in their SDK and they know about it, waiting to get a fix...

I talked with them today about it, it's one method not encoding properly...

Hopefully should be easy and I hopefully will receive it soon...

I just fixed this... It's trying to read the text to you, but you don't have SAPI installed or enabled possibly... You can fix now by going to phone setup and turning off text to speech...

I now check to make sure the user has SAPI and speech is enabled before I try to use text to speech, even if it's enabled in phone settings...

I can no-longer adjust the date/time, it says you can't do that in trial mode. I understand why you have done this but I have actually entered my serial number so should not be running in trial mode surely?

MP3s with Japanese characters in their ID3 tags display squares instead of the proper characters, I suspect this may be a limitation of the supplied font since some other non-8-bit characters seem to display ok.

There is still the odd bit of crackle/stutter on the voice directions from Destinator, though it's quite rare now.

I've finally found a workaround for the full volume on resume from hibernate bug. If I set the front speakers to full volume, then enable "use pre as master" then the bug does not happen. This would confirm my suspicion that this particular piece of hardware always resumes at full volume and CF doesn't bother to check/correct this before playback starts

The blank screen on resume bug is still present, it can still take 5-10 minutes before you get a display, though the (invisible) buttons still work.

More of a feature request really, but I think you should swap the position of the playlist name field and the album name field. It makes more sense (to me at least) to have the album name displayed near the current song, and the playlist name displayed within the box that shows the playlist. Whilst on this topic, would it be possible to have an option where if the album tag is not set in an MP3, it defaults to the folder name.

And lastly a big thank you. The bug where it would mute when you go to the media screen has finally gone away!

The serial you enter from the website is still a trial within a trial... It does remove the dialog, but it just puts it into Beta trial mode, so changing the date could still break the license...

So just in case it will only allow date changes with the commercial version...

This version is final, minus the found bugs and few small enhancements that will be made...

It has the final EULA from legal and XM, it supports the serials that have already been loaded into the store in preparation for the release and all the code to enable/disable the appropriate features for SE/XE/XLE, all the legal features for warning screens and disabling of distracting features, etc...

The whole app uses one font so try opening the skin.xml file and replacing the font name with one you know supports the chars you need... see if this fixes your issue...

you can also look in the main.dat database with Access to see if the files are imported properly...

so this is it? I can make a skin & be able to use it on & on? this is the one I can buy & keep forever? I'm dying to skin this but I couldn't keep up with the xml changes

....

do you think you'll maintain backwards capability skinwise from now on? I know that hasn't been a priority up until now, but this should be a consideration I would think... it'd be nice
