    OK will do.

    I've tried all sorts of different combinations of reg files and get the same result with them all. tried the default one and just changed the path statement and it's still no go......... My GTR works with the same setup, but that was 5.3, then I upgraded to 5.5 and it still worked, the others were 5.5 before I tried to install this...... not sure if it's related in some way.

    Task Manager says it's Garmin Mobile PC so I figured it was named correctly, but wasn't sure how the AutoIT script did it's thing.

    Assault, will PM you my reg keys.

    I'm sure the issue is related to the fact that AutoIT script is looking for a application window name of Garmin Mobile PC, but with version 5.50 it seems there isn't a window title. If you use the tool for showing the window title then fire up GMPC it just shows a blank box with an OK button............

    I wish I had the stuff to sort it out as it drives me bloody nuts not having this sorted properly it's been going on and on and on and it's still not solved

    Why can't Garmin just bloody give us an SDK so someone can make a proper plugin.........
    Wow, I am suprised since I was having the exact same problems, spent LOTS of time on it, and finally removing the the app title from Centrafuse when I added it as an external solved the problem.

    Also, I figured it out because, when I ran Garmin Mobile PC outside of CF, I could see it running in the task manager. When I ran it embedded in CF with the app title specified, I could not, so neither could the AutoIT script. Once I removed the app title in CF, I could see it in the task manager, and everything work as it should. When running GMPC launched from CF, see if you can see it in the task manager. If you can't, it must be that CF is absorbing it.

    It won't even launch properly outside of Centrafuse......... so it's definately not related to that at this point.

    It's so frustrating.......

    I've PM'ed my reg file to Assault, so hopefully he'll spot some rookie mistake and it will resolve it, but I don't think I've made any mistakes

When you add an external app to CF and include the window name, CF absorbs the app so that it is not visible as a running EXE, so the utility can't find it.

    Let us know if that fixes it! It did for me.
    I had the same problem with the same error message.
    How to resolve this problem.
    thank you

    OK, as suspected, I made a newbie mistake.

    Not sure why using the original .reg files didn't fix it for me, but the reg file I sent Assault to check over had a mistake where I'd accidently put PC on the que.exe side of the \\ so I'd ended up with \PCque.exe and of course I wasn't paying attention to the .exe name as I thought I hadn't touched it.......so didn't matter what else I did it wasn't going to work !!

    So in short, now the 2 PC's which wouldn't work, work perfectly !!! Sorry to all for wasting their time !!! Very embarrassed, but gotta own up to the newbie mistakes so others triple check before posting.

    I'd recommend anyone having an issue post the .reg files here in text form so they can be assessed by another set of eyes to spot obvious mistakes.

    Did you get any further with your development Frankino ?

    I'm going to use the ZWKB method also, but even before I read this post I thought of the issue mentioned...... would be a real pain.

    Very interesting system. I myself find this bug:

    When you open the program it starts nicely and positions itself at the middle nicely. Okay all cool, but once i goto Menu(Garmin menu) and lets say Where to... The windows position is lost (resets to normal position the top) aaaand when i scroll my mouse to try to minimize the window it automatically minimizes

    Really frustrating bugs aaargh! Also even if i dont goto menus it will still minimize if i go over to "Top Menu" button....

    Anyone have ideas for that?

    Save this to a .reg file and run it. This will overwrite your current registry settings.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GARMINCFMONITOR]

    "left"="0"
    "right"="0"
    "top"="0"
    "bottom"="0"
    "zone2enable"="1"
    "left2"="728"
    "right2"="800"
    "top2"="520"
    "bottom2"="600"
    "DEBUG"="0"
    "TOOLTIPS"="0"

    "GarminNavigatorWindowSizePosition"="0,50,800, 445"
    "GarminNavigatorWindowSizePositionOSK"="0,50,800,4 45"

    "ActivateOSK"="10,70,225,100"
    "APPPATH"="C:\\Program Files\\Garmin\\GarminMobilePC\\Que.exe"
    "APPNAME"="Garmin Mobile PC"
    "APPWORKINGDIR"="C:\\Program Files\\Garmin\\GarminMobilePC"

    You might need to adjust the path statement above to match your location, but everything else should work well.

    All I did was download the Zero weight keyboard from here http://www.freshnet8.com/ then I went into advanced settings on Centrafuse and then went into the General, then on the second page of the general settings, goto startup / shutdown commands and added the Zero weight keyboard application to startup, then it will ask you for any switches or other instructions.

    Just type this in

    quiet NoTapBox NoBumpBox largespacebar size=800x550x125% foreground=28 background=39 TypingTransparency=45

    Then complete that part and exit CF. When you restart CF it will start the Zero weight keyboard in the background. Then when you're in GMPC and touch the Garmin name in the top left hand corner it will launch the Zero weight keyboard. When you're done, click hide in the top right hand corner.

    I'm thinking of adjusting where you touch to get the keyboard to appear as it's easy to accidently move the application when you click, however when you click the CF button in the bottom right corner, then go back into GMPC it will reposition itself OK, but it's not ideal.

    You can adjust where you click to make the keyboard appear by adjusting the line
    "ActivateOSK"="10,70,225,100"

    Just put the coordinates for where ever you want to make the active area, then re run the .reg file and the PC and it should move to where ever you've specified.

    Hope that helps.

    I had the exact same issue you did and it's because the coordinates you have to make the application hide are in the area you're trying to use......

    I've got the above working on 3 cars and it's pretty good.

    Well i did all that and it works better now anyway, but i still have some issues with the onscreen map. When I click the Garmin logo it still brings up the old keyboard and it wont even fit on the screen... I mean GMPC is over the old keyboard so no luck there.

    When I add the zwkb to startup there's no place i can insert those parameters? Explain that a bit more.
