    RadioShark v2 and v1 finally!

    Hey Guys.
After alot of researching I came to the conclusion that there is nothing that can embed radio shark into centrafuse...
    Well not anymore.

    Compatible with v1 and v2.

Just finish writing a plugin, well not really a plugin, but an application that CAN be embedded intro centrafuse to control RadioShark.

Looking good so far, Picking up my RadioShark v2 tomorrow so i can do the final testing.

Most of work is done, just tiding up and a couple of things.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I will post the software.

Should be working 100% by the end of weekend hopefully.

    What has been done:
    Full tuner control of radioSHark.

    To be done:
Pausing and recording (hopefully coming soon)

Program written in vb.net, source code will be made public at a later stage.

If you interested in the software please post, if no one is interested I will hardcode my favorites and my paths onto the application, if someone is interested I will make it all configurable using configuration files or in program configuration.
    Please let me know

It's always a good idea to make things as configurable as possible even if it's just for you. If you move or drive to another location you can easily make changes without having to recompile the code.

Plus in the future other's may be interested and you don't have to recode the configurability just for those.

I can see a big need for this plugin as I have read over on Centrafuse forumns many asking for Radio solutions for CF and this would be a great addition.

    Thanks,

Thank God I read this thread now! I was just about to buy a RadioShark off eBay. I assumed CF was able to control it considering the RadioShark is one of the better and more professional PC radios out there, but like they say: an assumption is the mother of all stuff-ups.

Can't wait for this plugin. Please make it as configurable as possible.

    plugin

sorry for the delay. some things came up.
I will have a working alpha plugin fro CF3 by the end of this week, hopefully earlier.
Just finishing off K8055 I/O board plugin, then will get finished with this project.
    Sorry for the delay guys.
    With regard with reception,
I have not really have had any problems with it, but if you were to put a propper antenna connected to it, it would work very well I believe.

    RadioShark ALPHA

Hi guys. what a week! been so busy.
Alright. Managed to get the first ALPHA version of the plugin almost read for release. Just changed a couple of things, gonna test it now, and upload it.
Been using it today, working well so far.

    What you can do:
Set up to 6 Favorites on the normal CF Setup page, please note that its under ADVANCED settings.
    Set up the name.

Change station with the favorites set.
    Change station up and down

Please note that for testing purposes you have to click on the "On button" when you start the application. and the off button on the application aswell as pause the music. Code to do this automatically is in place, just disabled now as I am still working out a few bugs.

Default LED colour for radioshark is RED.

Will add on option to change it later on between blue or red or off

Plug in coming up for download in a couple of minutes.

Enjoy. and PLEASE feedback as much as possible. good or bad feedback is apreciated.

    thanks.
