Actually this is just the project im planning to do as my introduction to CF-SDK. But i'll be basing it on Windows Tablet SDK, since im using tablet as carpc. So i can make freeform notes with pen interface... i guess usability of that with small touchscreens on bumpy ride might be rather low. But if i get it ever ready i make it possible for download so u guys can try to doodle with your chubby fingers.

One plug-in I would like to see is a power manager plugin. I would like to be able to define what happens when the power button is pushed (Yea I know we can do this already through the battery settings). However I would like to be able to define a time for the computer to wake up again only to go into a different state...

ie Standby Mode > 15/30 minutes later > Hibernation.

That way on short trips I only have a second or two wait instead of a 10 to 20 second wait. I know its possible I will be doing more looking into it once the SDK is released.

Yeah, I could have sworn David told me that an integrated connection manager was going to be available in 1.5

I guess he meant dialup... which I find useless in a car.

Not dialup through a phone line, dialup through a cell phone (which is useful)

...but with cell, why would you ever need to change the phone number or anything like that. All versions had the connect/disconnect button. That's all you really need to "manage" a cell dial-up connection.
