To get this plugin to work, you just install cfmappoint into the plugins folder, correct?
Yes, I loaded it last night, but it didn't help.

So, you didn't get any signs of an assert screen? You mentioned the "Query" dialog... That may be info that Paul needs to figure out what's up.Originally Posted by black06stang
Yeup, you should end up with CentraFuse\Plugins\CFMapPoint. If CF finds it, then it's installed correctly.Originally Posted by black06stang
Note that I'm not getting any GPS locks either with it, but the test app he shared and full MapPoint works fine. He's got a bug, he's working on it.

Does your say something like "longitudeNa, latitudeNa, SatsNa?"
Yeup... It's a string constant that he has in the program as a place holder.Originally Posted by black06stang
The real issue (I suspect, based on what he's mentioned here) is that he's not able to "get" the COM port, so he never sees data.
fwiw, the new debug version didn't change the symptoms for me either.

Midiwall do you know when this will be fixed? Paulpv hasn't responded in this forum in a while.
Will this problem be fixed?
Hey there...Originally Posted by black06stang
No, I'm sorry, I don't have any additional contact with Paul. He's also been non-responsive on his developers forum, and in a thread that was started on the Flux Media site.

Update... There's a sign of life from Paul. He's posted another utility on his dev forum that's flagged as "Another handy GPS utility that could help w/ debugging", but there's no commentary on what he wants done wiht the utility or what he's thinking the problem is.
I've offered up to do whatever he thinks he needs, but haven't heard anything back.

I wanted to let folks know that Paul is around.
He posted a reply to me on his dev forum back on the 21st, but I didn't notice it until just now.
He's aware of the problem but is currently stumped. We're working through some ideas.
My apologies Paul...
