Ok, it's easier than I thought. You can paste whatever logo/image you want into the "main_empty.jpg" file and it will show up on the Main screen. Only one page to modify. If you have or can make a transparent image of the logo you want, you can do it pretty easily.

Hey Meta - any plans to add a "connected" indicator/button to the skin?

Crap... I didn't add that back, did I?

Yeah, this weekend I'll add it along with the car logos.

Do you mind just a "connected" indicator, and nothing if no connection? This way I only have to change the "down" screens. Personally, since I don't have connectivity in the car anyway, seeing a "disconnected" indicator is redundant/annoying.

Is the default location/color ok? Or would you prefer something more subtle?

The one I have gets all messed up when it goes to like the utilities screen. Is that what you're talking about when you say "dialogs" ? Or actual dialog boxes that come up with questions... ?

As for the PHONE screens, I can do the graphics, but as I don't have a phone that works with CF, I can't build and test the skin.xml portion for it. Anyone else is more than welcome to take this on.

As for the DIALOG screens, since you don't see them much, I'm tempted to just "gray scale" the defaults and leave them as is.

By DIALOG screens, I specifically mean the screens in the /dialogs directory in the skin folder, which are the "pop up" screens asking questions, requiring you to click Yes/No, Ok/Cancel, etc.

As for the utilities screens, these were finished in the bundle released last weekend. Check the /screens folder and make sure that in there, only the phone_*.jpg pages are David's defaults. Everything else should be brushed metal.

If you're using the latest package, but still having trouble, can you send me a screenshot of what you're experiencing?

Hey Meta love the work you're doing on the brushed skin, but I have a suggestion. I edited your mute button on all your skins with graphics I borrowed from elsewhere. was wondering if you could get the right graphics set for your bundle. See the third button on the bottom row in the above phone down and phone off (radio or music) pics.

    Again, great work.

Without modifying any screens, just the skin.xml file, I have added it back and will be in the skin.xml from now on. But you can make the change yourself.

Open skin.xml and find the /globalnav/buttons/connect section. Enter these values:

    For 848x480 skin...

    X: 730
    Y: 29
    width:117
    height: 22

    For Stretched 800x600 skin...

    X: 705
    Y: 45
    width: 94
    height: 20

Leave everything else the same, and the "Connected/Disconnected" text will appear in the same spot it does in the default skin.
