being 'certified' does not mean you have 'an eye for design'...
Please do not take this personal...
Hi, somebody here did a really slick Corvette skin for Centrafuse.
I would love to rebrand the same skin with a Ford logo, but I can not figure out which pictures to change. Are there templates or lists of files to be replaced?
I am a certified Photoshop expert, so I can do just about anything for graphics, but I know squat about VB and other programming.
If anyone knows how to make skins, but needs good poslished graphics for them, let me know and we can work together.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Was that statement important for you to make? Do you feel special now?
My work speaks for itself and has ben bought by companies like Shasta Beverage for advertising.
If you do not have anything useful to add to a thread, you should just go somewhere where they appreciate bashers.
I told you : Please do not take it personal!
What I ment is that a veteran designer as you should know that you will not get any decent credibility on these forums (or wherever) without showing some related samples.
It is the same as posting a thread "Best skin ever" without a sample image.
But again: Do not take it personal!
@shrug: do you have the .psd's for the skin?
if yes there will be a layer which contains the corvette logo...
if not there will be a .jpg somewhere containing the corvette image in it somewhere... and im sure that as a certified photoshop whatsit you know how to use the Magic Wand Tool and cut and paste?
just look at all the image files you have (thumbnail view in explorer works well too) until u see the corvette logo.. thats the one you have to edit... (unless its in the psd)

I'm the person who submitted the Corvette skin. I am by no means a certified Photoshop expert. People like mercury7 (and others) are the ones who deserve credit for the "slick" graphics.
With regard to your question, I believe one of the files that was uploaded might contain blank graphics that are ready to have any logo pasted over it. If not, like tja suggested, just use the magic wand tool and cut and paste.
One other thing...try not to be offended by things people post. For the most part, much of the information they impart is invaluable. I think, sometimes, it's sort of like an initiation (for newbies) when snide remarks are posted. I don't think anyone means any real harm.
If you cant figure out what image to edit....sounds like you dont know bout working with ps...its not difficult to look at an image and see whats missing...just a thought....they pretty much summed it up on the above posts...hope the skin works out...
