INTRODUCTION
==============
This is a Centrafuse skin called NEXUS. The objective was to create a skin with an OEM look, and less 'flashy' than the other skins out there. Some unique features of this skin are the big buttons, the high contrast, the removal of dropdown menu, removal of volume buttons, and better placement of some of the buttons throughout several screens. It also provides bigger cover art in the media player screen, as is a true native 800x480 Xenarc sized skin. Read the FAQ below for more details.
FAQ:
===
Q: Who is the author of this skin?
A: JustinTime from the MP3car.com forums.
Q: What is the native resolution of this skin?
A: This skin is designed to run natively at 800x480 pixels; the native resolution of Xenarc screens.
Q: Why does the background pattern of this skin look so strange and uneven?
A: You must run this skin at its native resolution of 800x480 or it won't look right. The background has 1 pixel alternating horizontal lines, and when scaled it does not look right.
Q: What version of Centrafuse (CF) is needed to use this skin?
A: This skin was designed for CF v 1.7rc4.1 It may (or may not) work with future versions of CF, but it will definitely not work with prior versions of CF.
Q: Where is the maximize/minimize button in embedded apps?
A: You must click on the far left hand side of your screen to toggle between fullscreen and regular mode.
Q: The web screen does not show URL in fullscreen mode. Why?
A: I took it away, to make the viewable browser area bigger. Just minimize (click far left) if you need to access it.
Q: Where are the volume buttons?
A: They have been removed. Most people use their amp volume knob to control volume anyway. The mixer screen is an alternative way to access volume levels.
Q: Where is the Drop Down menu?
A: It has been removed. I found it redundant and obtrusive. Instead, the Main Menu button has been placed in that spot, and serves the same purpose. Plus, this one is always available even in embedded apps.
Q: Will the Main Menu button always be available top left?
A: Yes. The majority of screens leave the top bar present, so the button will remain available top left. This is also true of embedded app screens.
Q: Why do some buttons seem to be in a different location vs the stock CF skins?
A: I moved some buttons around. They make a lot more sense to me this way. They are located where my brain tends to naturally direct my finger to go. :)
Q: Some buttons (like the Main Menu button) appear to be too small Can you make them bigger?
A: Some buttons were left smaller so they blended correctly with their surroundings. However, the clickable area of these buttons is actually larger than the image itself, so they are very easy to click regardless.
Q: Can I change that logo that appears bottom left of the main screen?
A: Yes. Change the logo.png file located in the root folder of the skin. Use a PNG with transparency for best results. Some people like to put their car logo/emblem there. I recommend that you maintain the same image dimensions as the one you are replacing.
Q: Is there a day/night version of this skin?
A: There is a blue version and an orange/amber version, you may choose either one for day/night.
NOTE: Blue version not being updated anymore.
Q: Are there other colors for this skin?
A: Blue and Orange/Amber are available.
NOTE: Blue version not being updated anymore.
Q: Are the base PSD Photoshop files for this skin available?
A: Yes. They are available separately. Check the MP3car.com forums.
Q: Not all screens/plug-ins are skinned. Why?
A: I only skinned the windows that I personally use the most. GPS screens are not skinned, and some other windows have been left unskinned.
Q: Is there a matching iGuidance 3.0 skin/patch for Nexus?
A: Yes. Check the MP3car.com forums.
Q: Can I help skinning some of the remaining screens?
A: Yes. Please contact me via forums (send me a PM - personal message) to coordinate. I would like to include your work in the base install.
Q: What if I find something is not quite aligned, or something that doesn't look right?
A: Please use the appropriate MP3car.com forum thread to notify me of any issues. Do NOT send me a PM to inform me of issues.
Q: Where can I find an updated version of this skin?
A: Check the Centrafuse/Skins section of MP3car.com forums.
Q: Is this skin available for other frontends?
A: No. But I might decide to port it if I switch frontends.
