Ok dennis, I have been drooling over your setups for a while. I have read alot of happy customers comments and I just need that little push.

One thing I was not clear on was the touchscreen...
It seems apparent that it does not come with touch controller or cable, but I am not clear if it comes with a touch overlay or not.

What part numbers do I ask for from Jaco and AllAmerican?

If it does not come with an overlay, which should I buy? Which is best? Analog, capacitive or accoustic?

I am sure once I know part numbers i will be able to find out price.

I am soo interested in this deal, I cant wait to hear back.

well ****.. if i would just gather info before opening my mouth...

    I figure it all out...

It does come with an overlay.

    It needs microtouch part #s:

    Serial Controller: 14-112
    Serial Cable: 7310101
    USB Controller: 14-206
    USB Cable: 7312256

I will check with them for prices.

nevermind.. looking at the reflection of the touchscreen cable on the lcd (from the ebay pic) it looks like it needs:

    14-113 controller
    and 14-114 cable

the other part numbers i listed had 12 pin plugs to the touchscreen.. this one has the correct 5pin plug.

    Hi,
    I'm Giampiero from Italy.
I'm very happy with your TFT. I miss only touchscreen cable.
I can pay you for help.
Can you buy it and resell it to me?

    Thanks
    Giampiero

I cant seem to see these parts... what is the price of them?

will this complete the setup? anything else not including to get it fully functional...

i really need to go count all my pennies

would this be any good for dvd or divx?

and another quicky... what is the total width and height of the screen? Thanks.

i picked up one of these screen kits a while ago... still not in the car

but anyway, they look decent for dvd/divx, but not perfect. after all, it is only 12-bit color. but, it is better than typical 12-bit color, because of the high quality controller card you get. the card actually processes the video to make the screen perform closer to an 18-bit screen with a generic controller.

    Hi everyone,

The vga controller, hirose, inverter and cable (no panel) is $235 delivered to the Cont.US.

As far as the touch cable, it should be easy to make. Any serial cable and solder to the leads if you cant find the correct plug.
Does anyone have the pinout for the touch cable?
    Thanks!!!
