Noritake 20x4 VFD (maybe dead?) & Scott Edwards Serial backpack

I think I might have cooked it by running voltage through it backwards, so if you can get it working, your gain, my loss. You'll get the VFD and the serial backpack. Now, I didn't have it running for very long, but nevertheless, I can't seem to make it work.

This is the same VFD that's being sold at this thread:
FS: Noritake 4*20 HD44780 VFD Displays

    $30 OBO shipped.

Was the backpack hooked up when you reversed the polarity? If so, it is dead too. Says so in the Seetron backpack manual.

A guy at work did this and it killed both the backpack and the VFD I sold him. It worked before, but he wasn't paying attention once and he crossed the polarity. Killed 'em both. Replacing his fuse didn't help...

yeah, so I probably nuked it.

I'll try jumping the fuse tonight, but chances are it's dead-dead.
