    2 Astec Laptop Power Supplies For Sale

    Hello All,

    I purchased these power supplies a while ago, but in the end, built a sproggy. They are in great shape, except that the wired in connector on them has had the plastic connector removed. The wires are there, and on the main board, just no plastic on the free end.

    I am really not sure what they are worth. Make me a fair offer on one or both.

    so... what exactly does this device do?

    It converts a 120v signal to a 12v or it "filters" a 12v source so it's usable in laptop applications?

    Actually, it converts 12 volts, or some where around 12 volts, and converts it to standard ATX voltages

    Actually, they were used in the "original" laptops, which were more like portable desktops, just smaller.

    Either way, they can be used in a car computer quite easily.
