I have for sale a 2x40 VFD. It has an HDD4780 or whatever interface and is supposedly pretty easy to deal with. I never hooked it up - it actually came bundled with some other stuff I got a while ago. It looks to be in perfect condition and is larger than one would expect: like 12inches long. There is no serial port or parallel port plug, so don't assume that this is just a plug-and-play toy. Controller circuits are available throughout these forums.
