bump
I've had it for a while, but it's rock solid, recently upgraded to a JL 500/5
here's the specs of the soundstream amp I'm sellin (zipped PDF)
http://www.soundstream.com/owners_manuals/r405s.zip
$150+ shipping
I'd prefer to ship within US.
25W x 4 channels plus a 100W mono subwoofer channel
(sub channel can produce more at lower impedances - see pdf)
The sub channel has two speaker outputs and a 24dB/octave low pass crossover variable from 30 to 120Hz. The other channels have 12dB/octave high pass crossovers variable from 60 to 240 Hz.

There have been more questions lately focussing on what is considered "good" audio gear. It's not surprising really, as most of the people on this forum come from a background of PC geeking rather than audio circles.
In answer to the unasked question, I commend to you anything that is made by Soundstream, and particularly the Reference series. This is top of the line gear, and could be found in many competition car audio cars the world over.
In Australia, this would be a bargain. The numbers quoted by the factory for this amp are seriously underrated, and the power supplies in this baby mean that it can pump hard all day long. Power supplies are unregulated, which means that if you have more than 12v at the battery (and who doesn't in a car), then this amp will up the wattage output rather than throttling back. On top of that, the fact that the sub channel is half ohm stable should tell you something. Compare that to the "RockHard 10000" you see in the Quicky Mart for sub $100.
Hope this helps.
C!

Thanks for the kind words! Someone finally realizes this is a good amp
reason I upgraded to my new amp was because I bought a JL10W7, and this amp's output just couldn't push enough to it.. other than that, i would've kept it.

yeah i have an old PPI pro mos-25 right now it works well for what i use it for but i have always been partial to soundstream. i have heard more than one complete system run with a 4 or 5 channel soundstream and have always been impressed with it. i will keep you posted one way or another.
cool.. sounds good.. yeah... i had my whole system running off this in my old car, then moved the amp to the new car, but then the damn w7 somehow made me buy it (it was really twisting my arm ya know) and the damn thing needs a minimum of 250w so, i got my new amp, and my whole systems' running off it now
