Trade: Infrared Camera (reversed image)

I got 2 of these little infrared cameras just like on digitalww's site HERE. . EDIT Oh except mine has the IR LEd's and can see in 0 light.They are the exact same models except I got mine from HK. Both have only been hooked up to ensure function, and they work. Problem is BOTH are the NORMAL image cams. That's fine for my forward facing cam, but for the reverse camera I wanted a reversed image... so does anyone have something similar to trade?

Like one of these with the reversed image?

And just to double check this would be a reversed image scenario right?

I stand in fromt ot the camera mounted on top of my television and I face the camera and TV. I move my hand from left to right but on the TV it goes right to left

or I move into the camera's field of view from the left and I show up on the right side of the screen.

am I correct in the assumption that this is a reversed image cam?

Sounds like a normal camera to me. If you move into the camera's field of view from your left (facing the camera), then looking in the direction of the camera, it is on the right of the field of view (and this is what is displayed on the screen). The screen shows what the camera sees, not what you see.

Well the advertisment was not quite true it seems

I had it backwards. The camera shows a normal image, not a reversed one.

UPDATE: for software, check out http://users.tpg.com.au/rv2/RvCAD/RvCAD.html .. although I think it uses your CPU so it may be a tad bit slow and delayed..

well.. if you dont get around to finding a camera here are a few solutions that may work (altho some are quite ghetto):

a) Use a mirror

b) Find software that can flip horizontally.. I've been looking for this but couldn't find it (but I didn't really search all that hard). Not sure how hard it would be to code something like this either.

c) If you use the camera in fullscreen mode, a POSSIBLE solution would be to output high on one of the parallel port pins whenever you want to see the camera and then hook this up to the horizontal flip on the LCD (LQ10D421 and most other higher models sharp have this feature).

I had this problem too, and I will in this next install too and haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. Hopefully a software approach is achievable..
