    Blop-
If you look at the second page of this post, You'll see two pics. The first one is the LCD1024E controller connected to the LCD panel. Maybe they don't 'officially' support it, but it works. Look again...

aah you mean the great big picture with a controller plugged in and the lcd working in a really obvious way!!

I have had a chat with a guy at miles electronics and i have found a controller locally that will control both my panels....

    Thanks anyway.

is there anything to look out for when buying controllers excluding getting the resoulotions you need and the connections....are any better quality than others?

What you need to do is figure out what the lcd's can do. The AllBrite LCD is an 18-bit panel ((6-bit/color) X RGB). It also runs at 3.3V. I'm not sure about the other panel, but voltage is more important than matching the 18-bit color scale.
Look for a controller that has at least 18-bit color, but more importantly, make sure you have selectable voltage for the panel you are using.

I was reading that the dicon has jumpers for configuration something that would be ideal if it would offer a wide diveristy of voltages etc..

I think what he ran out of are the displays with the inverters. I can't believe people are paying so much for lcds without the inverter! Didn't it get to like $70!!! Don't screw yourselves guys! Those 4-bulb inverters may be well in the $100 range. Also, these displays give off quite a bit of heat, they are not ideal for some mobile applications. They are also very bright and I have yet to be able to dim the brightness. Anyone else get it to dim?

I can't imagine why it is not working...I even connected a voltmeter to the brightness control lead and I can verify it is changing from 0V to 3.7V (All while watching a movie on the lcd). I was hoping SinnerG would ask the folks at Microsemi if their is something we need to know.
