    Man, that sux!!!

Any idea where to get these now. There were 2 on Ebay the other day, but went for a pretty penny this time.

i would love to get one, even tho I think i would only use about half the brightness!!!

    Thumbs down

No doubt. i love the availability to have it bright, and it's SVGA helps too. A lot of little 8-10" seem to be VGA only

So, I will keep my eyes out.
I just have to find a place to put it now........

    btw, doesn't Arby have a 10.4"??
his site seems to be on the fritz, so i can't find out anymore

    Darn....

yep i doing a full custom job in my dash
    to fit this screen in
i have to move the temp controls to the bottom and then I going to move the cd-head unit to another spot maybe the arm rest then i taking out the vents for the center, i might move them to the to were the clock is. so i going to have fun. also i have to be able to turn it back to normal, so if i sell the car i can take it out and do it agian in my next car. :> it will be fun but it will be done.

    Here ya go VCF...

When you get a 10Kohm Pot, there'll be 3 connection pads. You put +5V on one of the two extreme ends, ground on the other extreme end, then the output goes to pin 6. You can then turn the pot to vary the voltage between 0V to 5V. This is what controls how bright the CCFL lamps light up, but keep in mind that you won't see anything until you turn the pot at least half way. Why, because the threshold voltage for max brightness is 2.5V (half of your extremeties). After the halfway point has been reached, you can continue on to see the lamps change brightness.

If that's too tough to read, here's a better view. Also, when you get a Pot, make sure it's a 1 turn pot. Anything more than one turn will take forever to adjust. I would assume that the adjustmants would be 'on the fly,' while driving.
