    High Bright LCD

This isn't mine, but this one is. WOW, 4 CCFL's. I am in the process of getting the pinouts, but I did find out that these were used for outdoor kiosks. They are roughly 1300 nits.

From the model number, I can only guess that it's a 10.4". I just won it, so I'm waiting to get the LCD. I bought two of them one with the inverter, and another without (backup). I do know that it's a 41-pin DF9 hirose connector, but hoping that it falls in line with most other manufacturers with the pinout. I'll let you know once it makes it way to me.

WEll, today I received my LCD's. These things are built like tanks. An aluminum housing encloses the back side of the LCD. Planar (the company that acquired AllBrite) hasn't been that helpful, yet. I took it upon myself to take apart the LCD and do a little investigationg for myself. I came up with some interesting facts. The LCD is made by NEC, however there is no model or part number anywhere on the PCB or frame (usually NEC's start with NL.......). I called NEC and the told me for sure that it had to be SVGA because it was a 41-pin Hirose (31-pin's are for VGA). I myself didn't understand the logic because the difference between the 31 and 41 pin connections was 10 extra grounds. I am digressing, but that's what NEC told me. He pointed me to a website to choose one of three LCD datasheets to inspect here . The ones to choose are the ones with a resolution of 800X600. So far, by the dimensions of the actual LCD layout, I can only guess that the part number is NL8060AC26-11 . I will verify this with Planar monday.

I thought it was ~1300 nits? That datasheet shows 190 nits.

    eCar-
That was the original specs for the LCD before AllBrite did their 'upgrade.'

I finally got a response from Planar and it's pretty exciting....

Looks like the panel is NEC NL8060BC26-17 800x600 resolution See: http://www.lcdspecifications.com/nec...060bc26_17.pdf

The inverter is LinFinity LXM 1641-01 see : http://www.microsemi.com/datasheets/LXM1641.pdf

Cable for inverter is defined in this PDF:

Whole thing used to sell for about $1100 from Allbrite - so I think you got a great deal...

    Good luck with your project.

What exactly did you want measured? Diag? Total dimensions? Weight?

As far as the cable goes, I am getting one custom made.
