    You choose the price, starting as low as $25

    I am running the free version, and am satisfied with its performance. I am running the smallest 98 install (will probably eventually go back and setup the sleek install, depending on what I need for GPS).

    I haven't timed it recently. I had it down to about 30 seconds when I first put together the computer (VIA Epia C3-800). It seemed to slow down a little once I installed it in the truck, probably around 40-50 seconds(a good chunk of this is spent in POST). I could shave a few seconds off if I made Winamp my shell, and turned off networking, but it hasn't been important enough to mess with.

    in win9x:

    open system.ini and replace the line

    shell = explorer.exe

    with

    shell = path to winamp

    in winxp:

    takes a little longer to explain but you can glean it from this
