Did you tell windows not to turn off your USB Hubs, and USB devices to save power? This could be the source of your problem.

    Hey there-

I also have a USB powered GPS unit. The unit and software also tweeks out when it goes out of standby, I have to restart my computer to get the GPS going again. I told the power properties to always stay on in the Control Panel, Power Options.

How do you tell windows to not turn off your USB Hubs and Devices??
That would be sweet if you could help me out.

    Thanks.
