These are the exterior dimensions of the unit in it's original enclosure.

jusatry.. that's exactly what i'm thinkin... something similar to ace 3000's

i have a 250w 15,000 lumen metal halide light, a condensor lens, some split fresnels and a triplet lens on their way to me right now and currently have one of my trunk screens opened up and did the page magnifier/cardboard box/desklamp projector just for proof of concept, and to my surprise, it works, just doesn't look that great.

ugh.. i guess i'll go order my new xenarc now

Anyone know if a Xenarc would fit into Armen's ceiling mount casing, it's for a 7" screen:

(he is selling the casing without the screen for around $70 shipped if I'm correct)

KarPC, if I can get this screen to fit ANY ceiling-mount casing, you can count me in as well....i'll be searching

Just pulled the trigger on this lcd display. It will be the first component purchased for my planned carputer. Hmmm....isn't the display usually purchased towards the end of the project?

That's what I thought too. I've been waiting for the NanoITX board to be released before I started buying other parts. I guess now I'll start getting the software and everything else set up on my home machine with the Xenarc hookup as a testbed...

I just ordered one of these too, and it's also the first component of my CarPC. After wasting money on a Starvision screen, I decided the extra money for quality and service is well worth it.

I also just ordered a Profile Clarus 640 amplifier to replace my headunit. Like Sketch, I'm also waiting for the NanoITX boards to come out. That's what I will eventually have permanently installed in my car. For now, I'm just going to have one of my old motherboards sitting in the trunk.

    I want one!

I'm getting ready to do a CarPC myself, I already have a Laptop setup and ready to go. Just need a dash touch screen. If the screen is under $390 with S&H to 98019 I want in!

    Thanks,
    Jerry
