is this better then the Datalux monitor?
Pictures posted.
As for comparing to a Datalux, I would say yes these are better for 2 reasons.
1, the touchscreen is S.A.W. (Surface Acustic Wave) which is the best you can buy.
2, you have RCA input as well as VGA allowing use of a dvd palyer, video game console, etc.
To my knowledge, the Datalux monitors do not have RCA input. But, I may be wrong, please correct me if I am.
Here are the pictures.
first one is of all components. Note: the VGA and touch cables are not shown, but included.
the next 3 show the display on with pc input.
The last picture is a shot of the monitor showing the view from the wireless mini spy cam I have onboard my Thunder Quake Nitro truck.
this is a poor image due to the fact that the mini spy cam is only 380 lines res.
the rest of the pictures are not the best either, as I have a less than quality digital camera. The lcd panel is very bright, vivid and displays well. No dead pixels on either, and there are absolutely no defects what so ever with any of the items for sale.
The lcd panel is 640x480 resolution.
I can offer as an upgrade an NEC NL6448BC33-46 LCD panel that is 350 nits bright for 55.00 additional.
how would this all hook up to my laptop?
sorry forgot to add im interested in this.....what is the actual viewing screen and the whole screen what is different from the 200 nits? and the 350nits? im new to this but i have planns on adding a car pc.
SilverGT,
to connect to a laptop, you would need nothing except power to the controller. (assuming that your laptop has a vga out port)
the nits measurement refers to brightness. 200 nits is good, and acceptable for in car use. 350 is much brighter and helpful if you need the lcd to be viewable in direct sunlight, like in a convertible.
what do you mean by actual viewing and whole screen??
i thought it was the one in a case but guess not...can u tell me the hieght and width and depth of it? Do you ahve the software for this touchscreen capablity? I do have a convertible so i might want that 350 nits....im still lookin on ebay for a cheaper alternative
