The controller board is perfect for anybody who has a fried rca controller in their 701L and needs a replacement or has a custom application to use with their lcd screen. Everyone talks about the cat5 vga cable but you don't see it that much because it really is a serious pita to make. Took me two days nontop to get the damn wiring right and working. Alot of blood, sweat, and tears went to into making that thing.

you say the vga extension causes screen degradation?

I should have been more clear. It's not the exact quality as if you hook up your vga screen directly when tested with my 15" lcd. You kind of get a slight mirror image, but this is mainly because the pins are loose. When you jiggle it, it fixes itself. Anybody who doesn't wanna go through the crap I did building it, but doesn't mind securing the connection more is getting a heck of a deal on this. I just don't have the time. Although, when plugged into the 7" screen, there is no problems and it looks exactly the same which I can probably attribute to the fact that the screen is so much smaller.
