nissan maxima touchscreen lcd

hi im looking for a touchscreen lcd that will fit in a 1997 nissan maxima gle (1995-1999 have the same designs). I want the lcd to looks as an oem finish. Anyone have anything, ill be willing to buy it.

lillput fits with a little cutting.. i think i might use some filler and paint to blend it into the dash more

the prob with mine is tha i have the gl edition so it includes the wood trim dash. Now that mean very fine dremeling which requires expensive hardware. Also illwill, how did u take out the center console?

On mine, I got rid of the wood trim for the radio surround piece and fit/bondo-ed an 8" lilliput. I matched the screen bezel to the black color on the A/C controls and left the wood trim for the gear shifter. With the bigger screen, a head unit will no longer fit.

There are only 4 screws for the console (as much as I can recall). 2 are on the sides close to the rear, and the other two are beneath the gear shifter trim..... pry the gear shifter trim up with your fingers to release the clips.

Didn't know there were this many maxima owners on there...well I put a starvision in mine. I didn't use the case but rather fit the LCD into the double din opening...but as others have said...you could just get a lilli and do some work..and it should fit fine. I suggest getting another radio bezel before doing so. Go to www.maxima.org and check the classifieds there.

ok ixoye ill try ur suggestion. 8 inch would definetly help. i dont really wanna pry the gear shifter trim. im afriad it may damamge it. also i have been having problems with my maxima lately. its nothing serious. for example there is this check engine soon indicator. I tried to look if my clynders r misfiring but they seem to be fine. do u any of ull had this expierence. Also sometimes i have to rev my engine to about 3k to start up the car. i have do it when it is not too cold (about 40 F) with moisture in the air. Do any of ull have that prob? Also ixoye can u post some pictures of the 8 inch lcd?
