WTT: Need an amp (prefer: Pioneer/Alpine)

    hio all

I had this home theatre receiver running in the car as an amp for the carputer for the past year or so, and now its time to go. I have been breaking my head over this for so long as to how to "fit" the thing in the trunk so that it wouldnt take up lots of space but am unable to do so. I'm using a 2400W power supply converter from my battery to feed this monster. Forget to turn this off for 15 minutes and you have to call AAA

The sound clarity is really good and you have a digital equalizer on it and dolby crap and couple of presets like hall and stadium, surround level and more. The pictures say it all.

Lot of people mentioned about noise when using an dc/ac converter and I really didnt notice any static/noise. I guess the filters in it are good enough.

Anyway, I am looking at some 2X100W+ amp, prefer alpine or pioneer. Please mention the model number you have if you reply.

This thing is heavy, maybe 17lbs or so. It was sold by Radioshack originally. The model is Optimus STAV-3250. All the functions on it work as far as I know. I used it as a home theatre before I put this in the car.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but with a old tandy amp I was using to power my main system, it sounds awesome.
