WTB: SMALL laptop hard drive w/ preloaded OS

So excited about the arrival of my Xenarc, I was rushing to plug it into my laptop. Unfortunatly I forgot that I hadn't replaced the screws on the hard drive caddy and it fell out. Upon reinstall, the drive makes an awful clicking noise and isn't recognized. I need a small laptop hard drive (3-6 gigs) with a preloaded os (preferably XP but not nearly crucial because I will update upon arrival). My laptop (Dell Latitude CS) doesn't have a cdrom drive so I can't install the os myself without buying an external enclosure and going through the hell I had to go to to get the last one formatted and booting. If anyone has this at the lowest price possible, that'd be beyond incredible. Thanks!

    I don't have what you're looking for.
But wouldn't it be easier (and cheaper) to just get an external USB enclosure for a CDROM drive and load the OS that way?
Here's a link to one off NewEgg:

Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Peoples is selling a cheap laptop with a 6 gig HDD, you could ask him to part it....

After all, he just posted a thread in gen hardware discussion 'bout how if it doesnt sell, he will be hooking it up straight to his car battery to see what happened.

Thanks! Posted in his thread. As for Darque, I don't know if this laptop will boot from a usb cdrom.

I have a Toshiba 2.5"HD 4GB. I bought some parts from someone and they just included it with it so I have no use for it. You could have it if you payed shipping but I'm leaving tomorrow and will be gone for a week. If you still want it, write me and let me know.

you know, windows xp seldom migrates well from pc to pc without using sys-prep....even then if the hardware is extremly different, it might not boot..... you pretty much need a cd rom drive
