Maybe it's just too expensive. There are a lot of < $40 DVD players around these days that would probably do just as well. If this offers something special such as running off 12v , shock protection etc maybe it would sell better if you pushed the benefits more.

I bought a DVD player in Radioshack for $20, plays MP2, VCD, PAL, NTSC etc... the only think making it not ideal for the car is needing an inverter to drive it.
