didi you replace your headunit in your car for this Car pc or didi you just keep the headunit

I actually didn't even install this in my car - I intended to but sold my car before the installation.

Newer cars have security features/computer tie ins into the head unit. I know of many cases where if the head unit gets removed, you must replace the security portion with an aftermarket security harness - which is like $100 . I know for a fact that cruthfield sells this piece but I am not sure how it would tie into the harness if you are attaching a computer.

Again, this is only for "newew" cars. I was planning on putting this setup into my 2005 Hummer H2 but never got around to it.
