Post Brand New 20 Gig Notebook drives $126 !!!

Get 'em while they're hot!!! (no pun intended)

Found this link on another board... \ http://www.dirtcheapdrives.com/cgi-bin/webstore.exe
This is a well-known site, so there should be no problem ordering from these guys. To get the deal, you HAVE to scroll down the left side menu (frames) - Choose "Notebook upgrades", then click on "2.5-inch drives". Its a DK23BA-60 Hitachi 20GB/4200rpm ATA-5 IDE 2.5"x9.5mm Notebook Hard Drive DK20BA series $126.00.

DO NOT click on the description, as it comes up with a different part#. Just add 1 to your cart, and be on your merry way.

I just received my email shipping confirmation !!!

Looking forward to slipping this little puppy in behind the dash...

EDIT: Yes, I was having fun with the icons in this post - sorry for the corny appearance

THe have the same hard drive listed twice.
Once for $259 and once for $126
I'm afraid that they'll send me what they think is up there and not the hard drive.

As an FYI: From the Hitachi website:

Specifications DK23AA-60
Total Capacity 6.01 GB

Looks like you just bought yourself a 6GB drive.

I think adder is right. If you follow the information link, you will se that the informations specifies a 6gb drive.

As i see it you have to options

1: Try and se if you cant bail out of the deal because they gave you the wrong information

2: Play harball, buy it and try and insist that their page defines your drive as a 20 gb drive (They will probertbly give you quite a bit of hassle, but if you buy with credit card you can have the payment stopped) and then they might be nicer ....

I can only wish you good luck ...

Sorry for teh long post, but...
Darkwingduck, I like your suggestions. Seeing as I've had very little sleep lately (newborn in the house) I feel like tearin' someone a new arseif I don't get my way. And seeing as everything goes on the plastic... They'd better pull through.

Here's a copy/paste from the order-confirmation email they sent me. Although it states "We reserve the right to refuse any sale for any reason", nowhere does it say that they have the right to substitute product (even for a typo). Looks to me like I actually have a leg [or keystroke ] to stand on...
Opinions, anyone?

I would dare say that they're going to try to cover their arses by saying

would include this situation.
