thats why im selling it....the apple store said cause its 2 weeks out of warrenty I have to pay for it. I barley have cash let alone enough to get it fixed.

So this way I end up with some extra cash....just no ipod ;(

Seems a little odd that it will not work when connected to power, they sell extended batteries that connect that way so you'd think it would run on an alternate power source if it's only the batter that is dead.

Similarly according to this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...769752191&rd=1 a replacement battery is < $10, you must be in a pretty bad financial situation if you'd rather take a major hit selling it instead of replacing the battery. Hope it isn't something more serious than a dead battery.

hey, thanks for the info guys. All I know is that the Apple store people said that the battery needed to be replaced and that it would be $99 plus labr

I figured, instead of opening it up myself and possibly further breaking it (which, given my history with taking stuff apart is a real possibility), I thought I would sell it now since according to the Apple Store it's the battery...
