Yah, there is a program out there called Palmamp by Iron Creek software. I think the sole owner of iron creek fell off the face of the earth. his site just vanished one day, and all the dns entries and email addresses are dead... annyway

Palmamp gives you full controle over winamp using a palmpilot or visor. I use it in my set up. you install a plugin in winamp for it, load the app on the palm, and hook the two together with a serial cable ( or hot sync cradel) I like it a lot. works great.
I have some pictures of it on my site w. a link to the software - www.hjnetworks.com/car

No, I do not power my Palm in the car, but
I saw a device that allows you to do it, this company makes 3 versions of the device, one is just a mount, the second is a charging mount, and third is a charging mount with a serial port. check out

I actually have the Mp3 On Demand LCD and hardware. I got it a while back second hand from one of the guys on #mp3car. Had it working and then it died, the lcd is still good and working but the cables got messed up. I figured it wasnt worth it to fix. But if anyone is in need of a nice 4x40 lcd with buttons im willing to sell it. Email for more info.
