Question PSone Screens, anyone know if this is possible?

i had an idea today, anyone know if it woulg be possible to open up a PSone screen and remove the speakers and then rewire it to have a video input? then it could all be put back in a custome casing and done for a little over $200 AUS. if anyone has any ideas or has done this please post and tell me,

    thanks kardas

thought about that. I think I would rather shell out the money and shipping at get a 5inch screen from the US (looking at partsexpress at the moment). I would hate to buy a PSOne display and either screw it up, or destroy the casing to put it in a crappy looking new case.

Ill just pay the extra and get one already nicely cased and ready to run.... screw up the PSone display and it will cost more in the long run!!!

Hey guys do you have a ICQ?
Im trying to get every one in OZ whos got a Mp3Car in their cars.
Also just want to see if inmytree and few others are still with us?
They were here when this all got started.

Sorry i guess this is not a right place to post this but as this seems like a Oz's only topic i thought might as well.

from what i can see of that pic it look pretty good, did you remove the casing and put your own on, or is that the original casing? if you put a new casing on it can you please email me and tell me how you did it? and also could you send some bigger pics of it. did u remove the speakers, or are they just hard to see in the pic?

    thanks kardas

i completely took apart the screen.
took out all of the audio stuff including the speakers.
i made the bezel myself, the original housing is completely gone.
i just made a mdf mold and covered that with a piece of leather.
    easy to do.
