Dell C600 Laptop...excellent carputer candidate.

-1.0gHz Pentium III processor
-20GB HDD
-24x CD-ROM (removable)
-256MB RAM
-14.1" TFT screen
-10/100 Ethernet/LAN + 56K Modem
-AC Adapter (sorry, no battery)
-Ports: 1 USB port, 2 PCMCIA slots, Parallel, Serial, PS/2, Video (external monitor), S-Video Out, Infrared, and Docking Port.
-Windows XP Profession installed

Problems:
1. Two very small marks on screen. I don't think they are dead pixels, just where the trackpad buttons pressed up against the screen when closed.
2. Sometimes the screen will have a greenish tint to it...I believe the inverter should be replaced. (If you will be hooking the laptop up to a 7" screen this really isn't an issue.)
3. A large scuff on the outer side of the screen...but the rest of the laptop is very clean and scratch-free.

2 weeks ago I'd have jumped on this one but I already purchased a C600. I'm pretty sure its a C610 though either that or your 1GHZ is wrong the C600 only went up to 850MHZ.

Hmm...BIOS says 1.0GHz...but it is labeled as a C600. Thanks for pointing that out though. The service tag is FY0Q411 if a potential buyer wants to look up the original configuration of the laptop. Thanks.

Hey that scuff on the front cover is were a company security tag was removed, did you buy this from a company?

Oh, OK...so that's what that scuff is from. I can assure you it's not stolen. I purchased it off eBay a while back from one of those wholesalers that gets laptops off lease. Thank you for pointing this out.
