Thread: FT: Laptop minus screen, 1ghz, cdrw

Hello all!

Still havent got my carputer going! ****!

Anyways, after taking a much needed break from it to take care of life, I have decided to start back.

I think I am deciding against using the psone lcd for the simple fact that its so small and no touch (great little lcd)

Anyways, on to the deal.

My work gave me a laptop a while back, the screen inverter was going in and out, and it has eventually died. It is a Winbook W3 series (z1 is what they were sold under Im told).

P3 1ghz, 192 megs of ram, cdrw/dvd (not sure speed), 1 usb, onboard modem, onboard audio, video, no onboard NIC, 10 gig hd, floppy, the usual.

This thing runs xp great, actually seems to run a bit better than my athlon system with is a bit faster. Screen has been taken off and disassembled. Pics of laptop available on request.

The only thing I have noticed is that the battery does not seem to keep a charge for very long, but works great plugged up. I include a compaq (same specs) power supply for it.

Im just looking for a decent touchscreen lcd, decent brightness, throw what you have at me.

I have plenty of feedback here, and hardforum, ebay, etc.

The cdrw is combo with dvd.

If I were to sell it, $185 shipped, which would cover one of those new vga lcd hong kong style from ebay. For $200 shipped I will include the screen with the bad inverter (its almost black, but you see it when you look a certain way)
