7" VGA LCD SCREEN CONTROLLER

I unknowingly cut into a ribbon cable that connects the vga screen to the screen controller. This isn't the regular blue ribbon cable, but the screen cable.
I doubt i can get it exchanged, so i'm trying to sell the controller here. I got everything brand new a few days ago. Also has touchscreen controller build right in. Not sure if it is compatible with lilliput or xenarc screens. Not sure how much something like this would go for. Maybe $100 at the most since it is nearly brand new (minus the damage)

i don't have the time to troubleshoot something like this, so i'm willing to let other technically inclined individuals to have a wack at it. Like i said, everything is in mint condition. No scratches. Everything in original packaging. Only damage is the screen ribbon.

dude. that looks like a panansonic panel liek you get in the Xenarcs. Why don't you just get hold of a replacment panel from someone with a blown controller?

i've seen lots of xenarc screens pretty cheap, much cheaper than a new screen

I am 99.999% sure that is the same panel you get in the newest xenarcs. The side ribbon (th eone you damaged byt the look of it) is only found on the panasonic panels and the L shaped VGA board with the small circuit showing through the square hole is on the later series xenarcs with the older ones have this small board to the right.

If youdo get a new panel (which i am sure will be much cheaper if you look around for a broken xenarc) then you could send your knackered one to Jerry for him to do experiments on

(i would say over to me but the postage of stuff from across the atlantic is killing me at the moment!)

i might give this a shot then

a replacement screen is MUCH cheaper than a whole replacement

then screen is on hold until i find a solution for this problem!
