Hey people,
Being the geek that I am I bought this a while back thinking I would do something with it. I don't remember what I paid for it. I buy lots a crap. anyway, Here is my discription and if you have any questions PM me.
This is a lucas controll systems/Deeco systems M5 touch module w/plasma screen.
Here is a PDF of the specs. M5.PDF
If you touch the bottom right corner of the screen it brings up an on-screen keyboard. It beeps when you touch the keys but nothing happens. I only had this booted up for about ten minutes, That was the extent of my testing.
It has an older (bigger) style ps2 keyboard plug. but I couldn't get it to do anything with an outside keyboard.
It uses a regular PSU power connector for power but you have to switch the 5 volt and ground leads on the one end of the plug. I jumped the switch pins in the motherboard connector, then reversed those two pins pluged it in and it powered right up.
Anyway, I am not sure what anything like this is worth. I can't find one for sale anywhere. I think it was originaly made for military use so I am sure it wasn't cheap.
There are four boards, Planar systems main board, C3 graphics controller board, multi power inc. power supply/ regulator board, and the IR touch controller board.
Thats about all I know about this thing. I'm sure someone could make some use of it. everything is pretty well marked on the board. it has serial and parallel connectors and lots of jumpers.
I'm thinking maybe $100 bucks, But if you have something I might need I would be willing to trade. If you want it make me an offer.
Check the attached pics at the bottom
Thanks

I also bought this for a project that I never got around to:
I have a Asus CUV4X socket 370 Motherboard with a 400MHz celeron, No on board sound or video, 1 ISA, 4 PCI, 1 CNR, and 1 AGP/pro slot. Anyone who knows anything about asus, Or the CUV4x board knows this is an awesome board. asus is excelent for overclocking. I think it will accept up to a 1.4GHz PIII. Comes with in/out plate and usb riser. NO manual or cables. I could probably find a couple of sticks of 64mb pc100 ram if you need it. Works perfect. Can send you pics of boot screen and board if you want.
How about $50 plus shipping...Or trade?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Car pc in the making?
How about a CI5TTL Single board computer.
2 new sticks of 64mb 72 pin SIMMS EDO 128mb total and a
Intel Pentium 233 MMX processor.
Here is a link. I just searched and this was at the top of the list.
CI5TTL
I got this board as a working pull. I have never powered it up myself. I set it on a shelf in my shop. I ordered 2 new sticks of ram and pluged them in the board. I picked up the processor from someone else....Also out of a working machine and pluged it in the board...and there it sits. This board has VGA and lcd out. And I think it supports simultanious crt and lcd if I remember right.
I'll throw in a heat sink and fan too, I'm sure I have one laying around somehwere.
I am not going to garrenty this because I have never powered it up myself. You'll need a power backplane to plug it into. It should all be good though.
How about $45 shipped to the lower 48, I'm sure I got more in it then that with the new ram and all.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Now I'll go see what else I got hiding out here
Thanks for looking and PM me with any questions.

You tell me, Read the PDF. Look at the pics. You program things into it...it does it, It's basicly a single board computer with a touch screen. I don't know how it works. after I played with it I read the PDF....Might a been beter to do that before?...LoL. I didn't do much searching on it. maybe spent a total of 1/2 an hour searching on it and playing with it all together.Originally Posted by tj!2k4

Someone has programed something into it as you can see in the pictures. I don't know what it was supposed to do. I wasn't realy paying attention to what was on the screen as I was to how it worked...Didn't accomplish to much of either.
