well, lets see where this bid leads me then I will see how low I can go. I needed about 100 more than what its going for to get me out of my jam, but I guess not.
First off, I'm sorry if this sounds like i'm attacking you or anything, I don't mean it in an evil manner. I know you're just trying to get some money for it, but I can't help but respond to that comment.Originally Posted by zoomzoom6
I think the fact that you're not actually including the XP CD or the key means that having XP on there isn't a selling point. Even my desktop PC usually gets reformatted a few times a year, and my carPC gets reformatted even more often (when you start messing with cutting down windows with XPLite, killing services, using minlogin, etc, it's not very hard to corrupt something in windows... not to mention how unhappy windows gets when you get hardware glitches when you hit some nasty potholes)
and SA 2005 is $50 at most, brand new... and it's really not very good nav software for use in the car... I've been using SA2005 (and previously, SA2004) for about 6 months now and I don't think that including it is really a selling point either. and again, you don't say you are actually including the SA CD's... if you are, it might be worth a few extra bucks on the auction price at best, if not, then it really doesn't add anything.
However... if you were to actually throw in the XP CD and key (provided you have it) then that would add to the value a decent amount, considering XP pro is around $150. You'll be losing money on the XP license, but if you're just looking for quick money to get out of a jam, it sounds like an option
You make some excellent points and I do not take them as being mean. While I AM trying to use the software as a selling helper, Im not really depending on that to sell the item. Like I said, this thing is only 1 month old and was barely used. I paid $850.00 for this with nothing on it. No software or anything. I personally think that a 350.00 price hack for 1 month of ownership is a great deal. Including the CD key would not be a horrible idea, I just dont want whoever I sell it to to go and post the damn thing on the net and screw me. The software is more of a "convienience" feature. And I wanna know where the hell you got SA2005 for 51 bucks. I paid 129.00 for the software and GPS reciever. I personally really like the software. Software usage is more of a personal preference. You cant really judge it on what others have said about it. Anywho, thanks for the constructive critisizm, maybe it will help me sell??????
I bought SA2005 at circuit city, where it is still currently $50. you may have bought it with a GPS reciever, but didn't you say you're not including it anyway?
in any case, if I were in the market for a mini-itx setup I'd be all over it but right now i'm moving from a mini-itx to a uATX... good luck with the sale!
