Indeed I did. I've had it checked out at a few local places, and they've come to the conclusion that its something with regards to the mirror mechanism. Its a pretty sweet camera, and I wish I could get it fixed to mess with some film photography, but thats life for you. Thanks for the comment.

I hope that replacing the battery solves most of the problems, as another guy's Nikon FE viewfinder doesn't work after his batteries ran out.
