Do you have any idea of the chances of it working? I may be interested since I'm moving into a new place and will probably be getting cable. I need to find out if I'll need to get a modem.

Anyone got any socket 478 heatsink/coolers laying around capable of cooling a Celeron 2.93GHz or a P4 2.6Ghz? I have a heatsink but the fan died.

probably cheaper to buy yourself a 80mm fan and screw it back on to the top then pay for shipping of a heavy heatsink.

    Fan: $0.80, shipping $5

I don't have either, , but I am sure you have some store around there that sells cheap cheap stuff?

Oh, and Genesis, if nobody wants any of those molex connectors, stuff as many as you can of the full size (not floppy) into an envelope and I'll give you the $0.40 to $1 to mail 'em.

No use letting them get trashed. I'll just have to make my burrough a tad bit larger though...

Ya I have some 80mm fans laying around but they are a tad too large for the heatsink. I was trying to see if I could fabricate a bracket for it, but I got lazy and screwed an old AMD cooler fan to it instead which isn't keeping it as cool as I want it.

You are probably right though on the shipping. Brain fart of the day. Now I must find a bracket instead.

I'm pretty sure that it works. I think the reason that I stopped using it was becuase I wanted to get the new version that is stackable with other Linksys product, since I have a 16port switch, WRT54G router, and the cable modem...

    Lemme know if still interested...
