Wanted: Hardwired FM modulator with auto power on

Hello all,

I am looking for a hardwired FM modulator that has an auto sense feature to power on the unit and start transmitting when an input is detected. I know that JVC made one, but it looks like it has been discontinued.

If anyone either has one to sell or knows of one that they can recommend, please let me know.

You can mod one pretty easy. Im guessing you just want it to turn one when the carpc turns on?

Put a relay(85 and 86) on the 12v and gnd of the psu. And 87 to the wire that will power the transmitter (i.e. : 3.7v ) and 30 to the wire that needs the 3.7v on the transmitter.

I haven't gotten far enough with the carputer yet to do that to an FM Modulator, but I would like to install one so that I can hook up my mp3 player and have it switch on when it starts to play.

I looked and looked and couldn't find any FM modulators that sense the sound and power up. I have a no name brand FM Modulator you can have for $20 shipped if you want it, you'd have to rig a manual switch up to power it on or off, very easy to do though, or you could add a cig lighter plug.
