    Cheaper shipping options from UK to US?

    I have something i need shipped from the UK to the US. Now it will fit in a 10 x 10 x10 inch box but weighs about 15 lbs. The shipping cost I got onit was $70 (us) which is killing me. Anyone have any other shipping options for something small and heavy?

    How is this off topic? There are many people here in many countries, shipping many things to many other countries using many different carriers. So they have experiance so I ask here. Not in the "Hey I just got a hampster what should I name it" area, unless you show me someone in the OT forum that shipped a hampster cheap from the UK to the US that can answer my question.

    Right now I have no idea who he got a quote from but DHL is anything but helpful when it comes to estimating a shipping price. I tried UPS via a London Postcade of NW5 1TL and ended up with a shipping charge greater than the item. 94 GBP to ship? I have to be doing something wrong. I was only going to be $6 to ship a ITPS to Ireland.
