    Wtb: Dww-700m

I'm looking to buy a DWW-700M for a reasonable price in relation to the retail. It looks like www.digitalww.com is having trouble keeping stock.

As a side note, does anyone know when they last had stock?

    Thanks,
    --Mike
I've got a new car, but this one doesn't have a carputer. Definately a situation to be rectified. Sell me a DWW-700M!

no you don't want to buy the 700-M

I had one, and it was cool, and nice and easy to install. But for the sake of anything i couldn't get the touchscreen to stay calibrated for longer than 10-20 minutes. I recommend you get the xenarc 700 tsv. I had my personal success with that unit. It's the best you can get. And it's also close to the same price.

Now if you still want to get the 700-m, search ebay for the SP-716 same unit, just much cheaper

    cheers

^ what he said.. except mine completely loses calibration after 3 seconds the computer starts.. I thought it was a driver issue for the longest time, but it's not.. apparently there's a certain batch of these screens that came with a disfunctional touch screen overlay.. it's a 50 dollar fix.. but I dont have time and the complete know how (im sure i could simply follow the instructions)

I bought a 700H month ago. I assume its the same parts as the 700M.

Had major problems with the default drivers so I used the other ones that you can find on the internet. I totally forgot the name (version 4.0.2) of them and I where I got them...but I do have a copy of the installation drivers on two computers. PM me and I'll send them on over.

I love my 700H. It was a ***** to install and calibrate correctly. What finally worked for me was installing the "other" driver before installing any drivers for anything else (via chipset, agp, sound, etc). After that, I was sitting pretty and everything worked wonderfully.

As for the drivers that it came with, they never worked. I figure it couldnt read/write to the eeprom on the ts unit correctly.

Installation was a bit weird. Make sure you get plenty of screws, washers, and a good wirecutter with a built in screw cutter. My wire cutters were only able to cut the screws down to 4mm. You will only have 3mm of clearance to tighten the screw in (this is where the washers come in real handy).

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

if you can't get your touchscreen calibrated for more than 10-20 minutes.. and if you tried fews drivers .. and you think something goes wrong... try to replace your Touch Panel ..

changed mine 2 times .. (during last summer).. now.. no prob with touchscreen.. very very good accuracy.. i use it every day.. really happy with this product

btw.. it's very easy to replace yourself..

My DWW-700M has never lost calibration, works great. I've considered removing it, how much are you looking to pay?
